ABOUT DUNHILL DEVELOPMENT
Barry Schwartz founded Dunhill Development in 2002, building on his ten successful prior years of experience in real estate development and commercial & “stick built” construction. Dunhill has maintained close consulting relationships with various clients throughout many years of managing land development projects in-house. Our consulting work has kept our core skills honed, as they were applied to numerous projects and jurisdictions. Our philosophy of doing honest, ethical business proves itself time & again, and it will prove itself to you.
Upon graduation from Shippensburg University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (concentration in Real Estate), Barry worked for 5 years managing multiple land development projects from approvals through construction, to final sale to builders throughout Prince George's County, Maryland.
In the late ‘90s, Barry shifted his talents to vertical construction, managing 5 stick-framed commercial projects simultaneously for a small general contractor. In 1999, Barry’s expertise grew when he moved to Clark Construction Group. During his tenure at Clark Construction, Barry was the Project Manager for a $40M, 15-story commercial office building and subsequently became a Purchasing Manager for the National Museum of the American Indian on the National Mall.
After gaining invaluable experience in construction management, contract negotiation and financial reporting, Barry returned to his roots in land development and started his own company in 2002, Dunhill Development, LLC. Other Dunhill entities include Dunhill Utilities, LLC (2004) and Dunhill Builders, LLC (2013).
